(AP) - At the conclusion of week 3, the GAFFL Guru made a bold prediction and declared that two 0-3 teams, 7-Card Studs and Philadelphia Big Slick, would make the playoffs. The Studs reeled off four straight wins to bolster that prediction, while Big Slick dropped to 0-5 before scoring their first victory in the '09 campaign. All signs pointed to a Studs playoff berth and a partial vindication for the Guru. But, a funny thing happened on the way to Week 13. The Studs dropped their last three games, including a heartbreaking 1 point loss in Week 11 and are now done for the season. The Big Slick, though losers of three of their last four games and owners of a 4-8 record, still have a slim chance. Yes, 5-8 could be the new 7-6.
